Some weapons in AEoD either interrupt pickup sounds abruptly or prevent them completely.
Weapons that exhibit this behavior are:

  • Minigun
  • Pulsegun
  • Shock Rifle
  • BioRifle
  • Gauss Gun
  • ElectroDriver
  • Ice Wand
  • Proteus Dynamo
  • Penetrator

Weapons with the same effect less noticeable:

  • Chainsaw
  • Lightning Rod
  • RailGun

Testing: get any weapon of the above, select it, pick up an Ammo Power (chosen because it's always pickable and has a distinct pickup sound). You'll notice that it begins to play but lasts for only a moment.

Cant reproduce. Tried with electrodriver, chainsaw, icewand, and with the actor "MediumWeaponPower" and it all sounds fine

Im just closing this one since I was never able to reproduce it and there was no further testing.
