PostSubject: Weapon Slot limit...limits   Mon Apr 28, 2014 7:43 pm

Hello everyone! I've been a fan of AEod for quite a while. However, I have a question regarding the weapon slot limit system. How can I go about modifying the system to only allow one weapon per slot? I am aware that there would be balance issues, but I still think it's worth a try.

Hello and welcome!

I agree that it'd be great if the "max weapons" property was exposed to player in some menu.

Limiting max weapons per slot to 1 (without modifying AEoD):

You can assign a macro for this as follows.  Copy and paste one line at a time.

alias weaponcount1 "summon Weapon0Count; summon Weapon0Count; summon Weapon1Count; summon Weapon1Count; summon Weapon2Count; summon Weapon2Count"

alias weaponcount2 "summon Weapon3Count; summon Weapon3Count; summon Weapon4Count; summon Weapon4Count; summon Weapon5Count; summon Weapon5Count"

alias weaponcount3 "summon Weapon6Count; summon Weapon6Count; summon Weapon7Count; summon Weapon7Count; summon Weapon8Count; summon Weapon8Count"

alias weaponcount4 "summon Weapon9Count; summon Weapon9Count"

alias OneWeaponPerSlot "weaponcount1; weaponcount2; weaponcount3; weaponcount4"

Then you can do a Bind X OneWeaponPerSlot or whatever key for X you'd like.

Take note that you have to take a step forward after you implement it, as it technically actually spawns these weapon counters as invisible items in front of you.
