AEOD Version: 6.02
ZDoom Version: 2.7.1

When you enable multiplayer mode (type addbot on console, as long as you have a bots.cfg file created in your zcajun folder inside your ZDoom folder) with Lose Inventory When Dying gameplay option enabled, you will spawn without any weapons in hand. Previous AEOD versions worked fine and you spawned normally with the starting weapons but here, you don't. I know exactly what causes it by looking inside the game data:

Now let's take a look on unused AEOD Marine class contained inside AEOD v5 data (I'm assuming the code remained intact since v4):

player.startitem PlayerToken

I have no idea what is PlayerToken but I know that earlier AEOD Marine (v3 and v4) classes, as well as AEOD v5 classes spawned with the weapons every time they respawned since they all had weapons defined at start. AEOD v6 Marine has no weapons defined, just some PlayerToken thing. I guess that's the fadeout that occurs at beginning of each map in versions 5 and 6?

This bug is probably the cause of the bug I mentioned in past: http://aeod.forum0.net/t1132-not-aeod-no-weapons-at-start

I guess defining the starting weapons like in earlier versions would fix the respawning bug and the bug I reported long time ago.

If you want to test this bug for yourself, download the skin pack here (contains bots.cfg):

Then create a folder called "zcajun" inside the ZDoom folder and move bots.cfg inside it. Start game, type "addbot" in console to add a random bot, go to gameplay options and change the option "Lose Inventory When Dying" to yes. Get killed and respawn. You will notice you respawned without anything in hands. Try the same with earlier AEOD versions and you will see what I mean.

If you wonder why I am using bots is because of testing random difficult maps and not have to worry about dying, though you do lose your weapons.
