Hi everyone!

I am a doom fan since 1994 (yes im starting to getting old pale ) and i discovered aeons of death with the 2.4 version. I enjoyed it so much Twisted Evil

In this version i counted 55 weapons and 315 monters approximately. I was out of game about the last 2 years and now i find the new 4.21 version that i love so much (new design, new ammo info etc) and i would like to know how is increased the number of weapons and monsters in the last version.

Thanks for go beyond boundaries.

There will be a lot of weapons, and "a few" new monsters. I wish I could say more about it. Still, we (team) are getting close to finishing this version. Im not promising when, because this is just too unpredictable, but we have advanced quite a lot Very Happy

Hehl, what I see here the first person from all those 30 guys that register and actually writes something.

Welcome to the development forum of AEOD, As our projectleaded sayed, we can saddly not give details. But you can expect something great coming along soon. Just wait a bit more. We here do what is needed to make it 'done' and each of us discovers unexpected delays like realve live stuff, with slows the development down.

But thanks for the intressts and beeing a loyal fan.

I found this forum yesterday. Only typing aeons of death in google was the second result. Exclamation

I am very glad to belong to this forum, i dont understand how there is so few people here. However in zdoom forumd (yesterday i subscribed too) is a very important topic.

About me: I am 30 years old optometrist from Spain. My free time is limited because the job, my future wife and another "adult" things. I played doom in MSDOS a lot between 1994 and 1997. Then i thought windows will kill those clasics games. In 2006 by sheer chance i discovered doom builder and the posibilities of making new maps and mods for doom. I was the first moderator in a little forum web called universedoom (spanish language) and i learn a little about create new levels in arcades3d, possibly the best web of doom and other fps in spanish language. Here i found aeod.
I am not a great mapper but i like to get different games together, so i love aeod.

In this way, i did a little and modest wad for playing against different bosses of Wolf3d (my first favorite game until doom) in the same wad and level.

Another question: I think the final version of AEOD must be published in Doomworld database. In this way, the wad could be more famous and users can vote and value your work Smile

I don't know if they would be willing to accept 2/10's of a gigabyte worth of mod... Especially when it doesn't have maps... And that's based off of guessing that Reilsss uploaded 4.x to his own server in order to distribute it.

About Doomworld database: It wont be accepted. Someone tried long ago to do that for me, but was rejected because of the amount of stuff ripped directly from other games.

As for the votes... well, I know there are people who hate the mod for the lack of consistence graphically. I know there are people who enjoys playing the mod. The former is the only thing I need to know, I really dont care how many stars we could get for aeod Razz

Reilsss kindly host the mod, so there is no much problem about that; even if he couldnt host it for any reason, we always have places like sendspace to upload stuff (the main pack for aeod4.x never expired due to constant downloads Very Happy )
