| Well, since I don't think I'm the only one who play AEoD with his own music, I've opened this little thread for all music suggestions any fellow AEoD players may want to make for a more enjoyable demon-slaughtering-gut-ripping-entrails-blasting experience. Or just because it's a song they like.
So I'll start here with a song that was actually used in MIDI format in Doom II's original soundtrack:
Alice In Chains - Them Bones, from their album Dirt
Not really a grunge fan, but these guys have a strong metal influence, so that's right in my book. |

| Well, when playing doom, I mostly use the music randomizer I made, to have it playing a nice personal selection of MIDIs. It goes from metallica to necrophagist. I think is mostly tech death metal and progressive. however, an album I like to hear also when playing doom, is "Vulgar display of power" by Pantera |

| Yup, Pantera were a nice band allright. Cowboys From Hell is my favourite, but to each his own. Also, you ought to check Anselmo's current band, Down, if you haven't already. Sounds like Pantera with a bit of Sabbath and Southern Rock.
Down - Ghosts Along the Mississipi, from the album II: A Bustle In Your Hedgerow
Also, knowing all the death metal references in AEoD, I'd be surprised if you didn't know Demilich. Their (unfortunately) only album Nespithe sounds great for AEoD
Demilich - The Putrefying Road In The Nineteenth Extremity (Somewhere Inside The Bowels of Endlessness...)
Yeah, the song title is THAT long.
And also, yeah, im sort of a rock/metal conoisseur xD |

| @Mr.Kosta: Indeed. The Great Southern Trendkill is a perfect disc to use while playing quake2 I dont know why, but I always do. And to be honest, I did know about Phil's current band. I gotta check that About Demilich, yeah, I have listened to em before. Sounds good (despite the low volume of the record), but I have never tried to play aeod with it. Gotta try. However, the overgrowling vocals I would've left out. Still, they have some pretty sticky riffs > And if you want long song names, we could go with Nile - Papyrus Containing The Spell To Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks From He Who Is In The Water I do like nile a lot, but I hate the equalization. They have some sick riffs, but they hide in all that extreme-gain distortion. @Madnessguy10: Yeah, the duke theme is really catchy, perhaps because we all know it so well. However, I only see it for duke, and cant play doom with it |

I have it playing as the ending of my HTC2 Clown Dis map, because it feels like a victory rush song to me.
And when you're running around with the heavy rocket launcher, you can't help but think of duke nukem anyway... as it's sprites were based off of his rocket launcher. |

| Well, they can be any style you like. It's just that rock/metal is my preference, so that's what I post, personally.
This one also sounds great for long and difficults, Alien Vendetta style.
Lair of The Minotaur - Doomtrooper, from the album War Metal Battle Master |

| Well, so I was playing my daily hour of AEoD, and suddenly my WMP popped this one in:
Mekong Delta are one of the most underrated bands of the 80's, if you ask me. |

| Well, 2 days ago, I had a very unpleasant encounter with... err... one of the new bosses added in the new patch, and after 20 minutes and several quickloads, I managed to beat him and I got my reward: the Volcano Cannon.
Why do I post this story in a music thread? Well, because my WMP playlist must have some telepathic connection with me, and started playing this one once I started unleashing hell with my new and shiny toy:
The win of the situatuion is even more epic if you take a look at the lyrics xD |
