Out of curiosity, is there a way to (call me crazy) further limit the number of weapons a player can carry per slot? I know that you can toggle between unlimited weapons and 3 per slot (4 for the thrown / spell book slot) but I'm interested in limiting it even more.

Part of my reasoning is that, at full capacity, you're carrying ~34 weapons. That's all fine and dandy but I find myself inundated with weapons I don't use, and fumbling for the right weapon for the right job while something gnaws on my face. I'm also aware that you can simply drop unwanted weapons, but that just leads to you picking up more unwanted weapons after firefights--or worse, unknowingly picking up something like a riotgun and then pulling that out instead of something else: "Prepare to eat...an unloaded riotgun?"

So is there a way to do this? I've been sifting through some of the code and seeing if there was a quick way to turn a "3" to a "1", but I haven't found it yet.

This has been answered in the Zdoom thread, but hey, no problems here. The answer is, unfortunately, no. 3 is the limit.

What you could try and do is modify a certain file inside the package to put the weapons you like the most up front for quicker selection...

The system's works simply is too intrincate through all aeod, so is no easy task to change it. There are several internal scripts plus Decorate files that would need some real heavy editing.

So, indeed, changing it is rather difficult.

You could simply drop whatever you don't use.
