Hi everyone!

I found a bug in one of the player class. The EDF Soldier doesn't start with the correct set of weapons/items it should, due to a wrong replacement class. In his decorate, it starts as:

When it should be:

I forgot to add the info. I'm using AEoD v5.25 with GZDoom SVN r945.

Cant check right now, but does this player start without ranged weapon but with the knife? If so, it's intentional. If not, then might be a bug indeed.

Yes, that class starts with a knife and without ranged weapons. The weird thing is that the knife is droppable but doesn't spawn any dropped knife.

Since the original idea was to have that player start with the knife, I left it that way. However, now when you drop it, you actually do.

The thing is, all of the starting melee weapons were supposed to be undroppable, the knife included. This was so that there was a default weapon to select when certain weapons ran out of ammo, you dropped all of your weapons in a slot, or if you're real unlucky and you roll a triple 1, etc.

And what happens if player doesnt have any of those starting weapons when runs out of ammo?

Anyway, the way it was, if you dropped the knife, nothing would spawn, leaving you without that weapon. At least now you'll be able to pick it back.

Bah, this is turning very quickly into a hassle. I guess I'll simply inherit from that class player to make it have the regular weapons for it's class.

You know, I'm not entirely sure what happens. I think when a player tries to select a weapon he doesn't have after running out of ammo, nothing comes up and you're left without anything to use. Whatever it is, it would be a lot better if that situation didn't come up at all.
