The hardest problems I faces was when the lag got so bad I crashed or when the lichking or some other really mean m Like a Star @ heavenLike a Star @ heavenLike a Star @ heavenLike a Star @ heaven spawned. Which wasnt that often. Otherwise (once you get descent weps) some of the levels could be playable on medium skill I think with about 10~ deaths perhaps each map before doing it completely.

Ah damn. Maybe you wont get bored so easily when you make them as part of a project to record the whole thing and put it up. Wink

Hmm... a talkthrough of Alien Vendetta sounds fun. But there is no way in hell you'll be able to complete some levels in less than 15 minutes (maps 20 and 32 come to mind)

But before AV, i'd rather see a talkthrough of Final Doom. Hell, if I knew how to record demos and I had some spare time, I wouldn't mind doing them myself.

Same here. Could probably figure it out if I ever got the time though, so I consider that one a small problem.

If you guys mean "how to record this thing", I use the software "Fraps" while releasing a lot of space in my HD (it makes huge vids).

The other one I was thinking, was actually scythe 2. I could play just one episode as a "test".

Nice. It can be quite though at the end though. Always thought scythe was alot harder than av.

Scythe 2 will be. I need to take a break from my other project, so I'll be playing aeod, and in the meantime, making a 10 levels talkthough. Razz

The hard part is losing the guns. The first playthrough I had I just did a quick godmode because it seriously pissed me off. It made things ALOT easier though so I didnt the next time.

Stone of Temperance and an Ice Shield, potentially. Or a pentagram if you've got an extra spare since they don't carry over. Although, I do tend to play with respawning power-ups and weapons on scythe 2 because sometime I stupidly forget about the damn portals... and I REALLY don't want to go back because of some overpowered boss like Zilla.

If you get an unlucky cyberdemon the first time it can be a bitch as well if I remember correctly. Set and dementor gave me some serious troubles when I had weak weps. Those quick cyberdemons are always harder than the slow ones.

The dementor! I always wanted to improve that one. It a very very old monster I made ages ago. I wanted to give it some extra abilities Razz

Its a damn hard monster though. Instant hitting attack. Small and flying which means it easily follows you everwhere. Cold aura that hurts very quickly. Dont remember that it had any special interrupting pain either. I mostly try to either just overpower it with huge damage or do hit and run tactics but thats really hard. Tbh I like the monsters that kill me since I rarely die on normal wads/normal settings and save loads on hard ones.

You forgot to mention it is only vulnerable when he attacks. I hate that bastard.

Well, who would've said? Razz

Still, at some point I thought of adding an "speed up" sequence where he would move towards you really fast, to attack you on melee range (a new attack) or if you avoided it, just to stay close enough to keep dealing damage with the aura.

Come to think about it, perhaps I could still do that

Jesus christ. In the middle of map02, i got corrupt zlib stream messages, that ended the game though it didnt crash the engine. This is weird. And happened twice. I hope a fresh restart will help, since I know no file has been modified to justify this messages; considering that the game started just fine.

I know. Im looking forward to buy a new powersource to franken-build my other computer which have been always a delight except for the lack of GPU. Once I have it done, THE WORLD WILL BE MINE! ... or at least I'll be able to play certain things I am not able here.

@Reilsss: I dont either, but I went that way because I wanted to show the classic environment everyone knows with all the posible monsters that aeod offers (arachnotro, archvile, etc classes).

You could always convert your doom 1 levels over to doom 2, or go play the Playstation Zdoom conversion which has most of Doom 1 levels in it. Sadly I can't use doom builder anymore because it crashes at start-up. I did everything properly too, but whatever.
