What's your favorite gun(s) added on V6?

Mine is the Bone Duster. That thing blows my mind. Never imagined such destructive power in a shotgun, considering it uses shells, which are easy to find around. Smile

You can shotgun jump with it too. Just be warned, it costs the entire clip to do so with the alt-fire. Minimum of 15 shells required to effectively "jump" too.

It's great for making a fast around-the-corner ambush to avoid enemy attacks, as it interrupts monsters--always. And lights them on fire.

I probably still love the guided rocket launchers that you can dual wield the most, I almost always seem to get one and it helps at times immensly to be able to fire behind corners at monsters with such a powerful weapon.

Ive yet to meet many new weapons, but from the ones Ive met, the Screamer Pistol is the best.

Also, thanks for making the Remote Detonator more common. Very Happy Love to leave those in places I know something nasty is going to be in a minute. Then just sit back and watch as a I one-hit a Cyberdemon. Laughing

Another favorite of mine is the Popcorn Gun. Sure, it's kinda hard to get when faced with a dilemma, but if you know the secret time to backstab Pennywise at, then you're gold.

Advantages:
  • Only 1 ammo consumed for primary
  • Chance to spit out extra popcorn shots
  • At longer ranges, can sometimes put meat shields between you and another enemy (not too reliable though), allowing for the clowns and bears to take the shots for you
  • Secondary is like a stationary BFG, except it has the added tendency to occasionally reach around corners and take out targets you wouldnt expect otherwise.
  • The critters spawned could provide some much needed ammunition for other weapons.
  • Excellent anti-air weapon which gives you the advantage of knowing where corrupted corn is going (it's the gravity affected kernel)

Disadvantages:
  • Corrupted corn is rather spastic and can lead to large quantities of small enemy flooding.
  • The black bears noclip through anything, so small and tight corridors are more often than not your biggest nightmare with this weapon.
  • While the corrupted corn passes through enemies, it can bounce off of walls and land behind you, spawning the swarms where you least expect it.
  • Swarms range from small to large, and they can wind up stacking too. Reliance on bullet weapons to handle them is ill advised.

Best usage scenario:
+Use it against enemies who have some distance between you, and aim more towards their lower body. This allows the monsters to spawn in them, and the primary kernels deal radial damage, meaning they'll die while attacking said monster and saving you some ammo.

+If fighting your own hand-made swarm, use the primary in bursts. This will help reduce the chance to spawn another swarm with simple bursts instead of outright stream firing. Remember, you have a chance to generate some extra projectiles which will wipe them out if you spread them enough.

My favorite weapon on v6? Well, pretty much all the new ones Razz

Though I love the screamer and the stakegun (those grenades are death if used correctly).

PK Shotgun is now in my favorite weapons list. Damn that thing's versatile. Very Happy

Also, maybe a bit offtopic, but why was that BFG9000 made so rare? Imo it wasn't very powerful in v5, probably one of the weakest Slot 0 weapons.
